A mulit-use facility it successfully hosts a range of both local and national events and is within a few minute walk from the motel, or a two minute drive.
Western Plains Cultural Centre

The Centre also offers a rich program of high quality exhibitions and installations by local and visiting artists. Taronga Western Plains Zoo
Taronga Western Plains Zoo plays home to hundreds of animals from around the world with a six kilometre circuit that meanders through natural bushland, around large style open exhibits. Within the Zoo you’ll also find the Savannah Visitor Plaza and free access area. It offers a great place to relax with a meal or coffee at Bahkita's Cafe whilst overlooking the primate islands or let the kids run wild in the safari park playground. The Zoo is located six kilometres from the Motel on Obley Road, which is a short 10 minute drive.
Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre
The state-of-the art venue plays host to local performances and some of the best national touring shows housing a 500 seat tiered theatre and 750 seat auditorium. Located at 155 Darling St, it’s a simple three minute drive from us.
Old Dubbo Gaol
Wander the unique collection of 19th century buildings and artefacts and learn the stories of prison life at Old Dubbo Gaol. You can even catch a theatrical performance or guided tour, or during the school holidays experience a Twilight or Beyond the Grave tour. You’ll find Old Dubbo Gaol at 90 Macquarie St, Dubbo – right in the heart of the CBD.
Dubbo Apex Club’s Caltex Park
The regions premier sporting event venue, Dubbo Apex Club’s Caltex Park is an impressive site that has played host to a large number of pre-eminent football games, as well as gala days and football events. It’s conveniently located a short 15 minute walk from the motel, or four minute drive.
